Metaphors of emotions: towards a data-driven formalization

چکیده
Formalization of natural language metaphors is a notorious problem in artificial intelligence and other overlapping domains. It semantic vagueness that makes resistant to formulaic or algorithmic descriptions. Great effort has been invested into modeling computationally but the issue remains methodologically uncertain needs further research. This paper works on practical solution how metaphorical meaning can be represented way suitable for computation. Towards a formalization of model conformance in Model Driven Engineering
The principle of “everything is an object” basically supported by two fundamental relationships inheritance and instantiation has helped much in driving the object technology in the direction of simplicity, generality and power of integration. Similarly in the Model Driven Engineering (MDE) today, the basic principle that “everything is a model” has many interesting properties. The two relation...
متن کاملA Formalization of Metaphors and Image-schemas in User Interfaces
Sound engineering approaches to user interface design require the formalization of key interaction concepts, one of them being metaphor. Work on interface metaphors has, however, been largely non-formal so far. The few existing formal theories of metaphor have been developed in the context of natural language understanding, learning, or reasoning. We propose to formalize interface metaphors by ...
متن کاملTowards a Formalization of Responsibility
In this paper we aim at formalizing two distinct notions of responsibility: backward-looking responsibility and forward-looking responsibility. The first notion implies blameworthiness while the second one implies obligation. They are related to each other though, since, under certain conditions, forward-looking implies backward-looking. We claim here that an ideal framework of cooperative agen...
متن کاملTowards a Formalization of Trust
This work focuses on the design and implementation of a new model of trust. The new model of trust is based on the formalizations of reputation, self-esteem, and similarity within an agent. Our previous work establishes the formalization of reputation within an informationsharing Multiagent System. The previous work claims that reputation cannot be universalized. This work universalizes reputat...
متن کاملTowards a formalization of budgets
We go into the need for, and the requirements on, a formal theory of budgets. We present a simple algebraic theory of rational budgets, i.e., budgets in which amounts of money are specified by functions on the rational numbers. This theory is based on the tuplix calculus. We go into the importance of using totalized models for the rational numbers. We present a case study on the educational bud...
